Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School Receives $50,000 Coca-Cola Grant | Business
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- The Coca-Cola Foundation—the global philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Company—has awarded a $50,000 grant to Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School to provide tuition assistance for students recruited through A Better Chance, an organization matching talented students of color with independent and public schools.
“We are very grateful for the generosity and support of the Coca-Cola Foundation,” said Chris Pomar, Holy Innocents’ Director of Admissions. “This grant will ensure our ability to continue to enroll students of tremendous promise who meet the standards for enrollment but need a bit of financial assistance to realize their dreams.
“HIES is extremely proud to have one of the largest independent day school enrollments of A Better Chance Scholars in the nation.”
The mission of A Better Chance is “to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.”
The Coca-Cola Foundation grant is part of more than $26 million awarded by the Foundation in the first quarter to organizations across the globe, including 13 in Atlanta.
