Andee's Army hosts 2nd 5K Fun Run/Walk at Holy Innocents' | Events

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Andee’s Army, Inc., invites runners and fitness enthusiasts to register for the 2nd annual Andee’s Army 5K Fun Run on Feb. 23, 2013, 9 a.m., at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, 805 Mount Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA,  near Sandy Springs.

The 2nd annual Andee’s Army 5K Fun Run/Walk, in honor of 16-year-old Andee Poulos, directly supports children and their families who are receiving medical treatment for non‐traumatic brain injuries. Poulos was a student at Holy Innocents' until her acquired brain injury, a rare condition called Arteriovenous Malformation.

Registration is $15 for students/children and $25 for adults. Each participant will get a T-shirt and sponsor goodie bag, and also be eligible for a free raffle with various gift cards. 

Custom awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall 5K finishers, and awards will also be presented to 5K finishers in designated age groups. Fun Run results will be posted online at andeesarmy.com after the event.

Warm‐up begins at 8:30 am; the race begins at 9 a.m. Participants can register online at www.andeesarmy.com, at  Phidippides in Sandy Springs at 220 Sandy Springs Circle from Jan. 18, 2013—Feb. 22, 2013, or by mail (check only) to Andee’s Army, Inc., P.O. Box 420016, Atlanta, GA  30342. Late registration will also be available on race day beginning at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.
