Claiborne will preach at Holy Innocents’ during the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services. At the 10:15 a.m. Faith Forum, he will speak about the “Marks of a New Monasticism,” which addresses topics such as racial reconciliation and community living.

“Let’s move beyond complaining about the Church we see, and let start becoming the Church we dream of,” Claiborne has said.

“We welcome Shane to our community to inspire a new manner of engagement with the world, especially among those society most often forgets,” said the Rev. Michael Sullivan, rector of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church, near Sandy Springs. “He comes to challenge our past ways and embolden our future.”

Shane Claiborne is a graduate of Eastern University and did graduate work at Princeton Seminary.
