Construction flagger's foot run over
News

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- A construction worker directing traffic in Sandy Springs Friday had his foot run over after an argument with a driver, according to Sandy Springs Police.

The two painted very different pictures of what happened shortly before 1 p.m. at Long Island Drive and Lake Forest Drive, according to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.

He said Peter Statia claimed Denis Reggie intentionally drove towards him, hit his arm and ran over his foot before taking off in a Porsche.

Reggie told police that Statia's foot was run over because he charged at Reggie's car. Reggie has been charged with hit and run.

Statia was charged with simple assault. He was treated and released from Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta.
