Sandy Springs suspect accused of brutal rape arrested | News
ATLANTA - The man accused of brutally raping a woman and breaking her jaw is now in custody. "No matter where you run, we will find you and arrest you," a fugitive task force member said.
The U.S. Marshals Service and the Sandy Springs Police Department announced today the arrest of Terry Marquis Hicks, 40 for the Felony Rape and Felony False Imprisonment.
Hicks is alleged to have brutally assaulted and raped a female victim after leaving bar, the Taboo 2, in Sandy Springs on November 4th. The victim was severely injured, including a broken jaw and ribs.
US Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Sandy Springs Police were able to locate Hicks at a friend's apartment in East Point, Georgia around noon Friday. Hicks taken to the Sandy Springs Police Department for further questioning.
"If you commit a crime like this, no matter where you run, we will find you and arrest you" said Chief Inspector Keith Booker, Commander of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. "It's just that simple".
