ATLANTA -- The new Miss America will soon trade her tiara for a chef's hat as she works to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Mallory Hytes Hagan will flip pancakes and greet customers at the Chamblee IHOP on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
Hagan's visit to the restaurant is a preview of National Pancake Day, where IHOP guests are invited to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in exchange for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
National Pancake Day is Tuesday, Feb. 5. Last year, IHOP customers raised more than $3 million for children's charities.
After preparing breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Jan. 22, Hagan will meet patients in The Zone at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She will be at the hospital from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
