DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Members of the public are invited to attend one of several hearings about the Georgia Department of Transportation's plans to reconstruction the Interstate 285 and Georgia 400 interchange.
The proposed project would begin, on I-285, west of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, and extend to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road in neighboring Dunwoody.
On Georgia 400, it would begin just south of the Glenridge Connector and extend north to the Hammond Drive interchange area.
Possible improvements to the roads include:
* Construction of barrier-separated lanes along I-285 and Ga. 400
* Reconstruction of existing ramps between the two highways
* Building new flyover bridges and reconstructing the existing ones
* Construction of braided ramps to eliminate conflicts between traffic entering and exiting Ga. 400
