WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- A Sandy Springs man was arrested after allegedly threatening two women at a Kroger in Woodstock.

Richard Booher was arrested Tuesday by a Sandy Springs police officer who recognized him from a lookout bulletin.

According to the investigation, the 53-year-old suspect threatened to kill two women in the parking lot of the Kroger at 2295 Towne Lake Parkway on June 20.

Police said the women were attempting to give water to Booher's dog, which was locked inside the suspect's car. The victims told investigators that the dog appeared to be overheated and in distress.

Booher began making the threats when he discovered the two women near his car, according to the investigation. Woodstock police officers were able to secure arrest warrants for him after he was positively identified by witnesses.

The suspect was transported to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center after his arrest in Sandy Springs. Right now, Booher is no longer in jail. He was charged with disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats.
