AIU Online Offers Scholarship for Moms

ATLANTA -- Given today's challenging economy, more moms want to contribute financially to their households. In fact, 90% of moms feel this pressure, with 65% desiring to advance their careers or considering a return to work, according to an American InterContinental University survey of working and stay-at-home moms in the United States.

The survey of 1,800 moms found that more than 70% of them are not fully satisfied with their current education or skill set. This was especially true with the Hispanic moms surveyed; 81% displayed dissatisfaction with their level of education.

Yet only 27% of these women have returned to school or plan to return in the next six months, mostly because of the time commitment and financial resources needed to obtain a degree.
