SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School will hold its annual All School Open House on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. in the Main Gym. The event concludes with a reception in Porter Dining Hall at 12:15 p.m.

All divisions—Primary, Lower, Middle and Upper Schools—will participate in the afternoon’s events. Administrators, faculty, coaches, fine arts teachers, grade-level deans, chaplains, admissions representatives, as well as officers of the Parents' Association, Athletic Association, and Fine Arts Alliance, will be on hand to discuss the many different programs and opportunities that Holy Innocents’ students enjoy.

 “This is the perfect opportunity for all interested families to meet HIES students faculty, staff, and parents, to tour the campus, and to learn firsthand how Holy Innocents' has gained its reputation as one of the finest independent schools in the Southeast,” said Head of School Paul Barton.

(WXIA) -- Georgia's 2014 high school graduation rates were released Thursday.

This year's statewide average is 72.5 percent, up slightly from last year's 71.5 percent. It's also the third consecutive increase in the percentage of seniors who graduate from the state's public high schools.

Fulton County's 2014 graduation rate is 78.7 percent. At 96.6 percent, Cambridge High School in Milton has the county's highest graduation rate.

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Briana Neal, a Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School junior, has won first place in the high school competition for this year’s My Atlanta Exhibition.

The theme of this year’s show was Embracing Diversity—a theme meant to “communicate the significance of embracing cultural or religious differences,” according to contest guidelines. Neal's winning photo was titled “Poverty.”

Five hundred photos from students at 18 schools were entered in different categories, and judges were Joeff Davis and Gavin Godfrey of the Creative Loafing editorial staff.

The My Atlanta contest is sponsored by Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Photos are on view at the Piedmont Park Community Center during two upcoming Saturdays, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The park is located at 1071 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30309 (Park Entrance at 12th street).
