Ice Challenge in a 'Chill Pool' at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Holy Innocents' Episcopal School Head of School Paul Barton and the Rev. Ned Mulligan took the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS on Friday after being called out by administrators from St. Benedict's Episcopal Day School in Smyrna.
The two decided to increase the challenge a bit by stepping first into a 48-degree, athletic "chill pool" in the Athletic Training Center—with separate cups of ice water for the actual dunk.
Holy Innocents' students, however, had something else in mind: Connor Barry heaved a bucket of ice water over the new head of school while Haven Boaz thoroughly doused Mulligan, Holy Innocents' head chaplain.
"That was good for the first take," Barton quipped good-naturedly.
Barton has challenged Holy Innocents' previous head of school, Gene Bratek, now headmaster at Davidson Day School in North Carolina.
